Director Ted Mayrhofen serves in Division 5 on the MSWD Board of Directors. He was elected to the position in November 2022.
With the long family tradition of patriotism, Dir. Mayrhofen is a second-generation marine veteran.
In north Palm Springs, he served as treasurer for the local Chamber of Commerce when he was 24 years old.
Serving as a park, public safety, and planning commissioner, providing free services to the city of desert hot springs.
At College of the Desert, he studied environmental horticulture and turf grass management, learning the connection between water and the environment.
Keeping a glass of water for the future generation is our responsibility as a professor once said, "Without water there's no plant life. Without plant life, there is no food."
He's also passionate about gardening, photography, and learning new things every day.
