As wildfires impact Southern California, our thoughts are with the community members, first responders, and water agencies affected by these devastating events. At MSWD, we prioritize the safety and reliability of our water system. Our fire hydrants are regularly maintained and inspected as part of our preventative maintenance plan. Fire hydrants are operational and equipped with an adequate water supply to support emergency response needs.
In addition, we have a robust emergency preparedness plan in place to respond proactively to natural disasters. MSWD has more than 20 million gallons of reservoir storage that we can tap into during a fire emergency. We have been working with Edison to plan for power interruptions and have backup generators at key locations within our system. MSWD is dedicated to providing our community with dependable water services at all times. Together, we stand ready to protect and serve.
