The MSWD Board of Directors meet regularly on the third Monday of the month at
3 p.m. Each of these meetings is preceded by a Study Session held the Thursday before the third Monday, also at 3 p.m. Meetings are held at the District Administration Building, 66575 Second Street, Desert Hot Springs.

All board meetings are open to the public. In advance of the meetings, agendas are posted here and at the District Administrative Office. Meeting minutes are also available on this web site or at the office, once they have been approved at the following month's regular meeting.

A Note About Board Meetings
Usually, the agenda for the Study Session and the Regular Meeting is the same or similar. That is because the Study Session allows the Board to hear in-depth discussion about agenda items and then vote on the items during the Regular Meeting. The voting at Regular Meetings often moves quickly because the item was discussed at length in the Study Session.

The public is invited to attend all meetings of the Board, with the exception of Closed Sessions. A Closed Session is attended only by Board members, the District's attorney, the General Manager and staff, as appropriate. Actions taken in Closed Session will be announced when the Board meeting is reconvened, as required by law.

Members of the public who wish to speak at Board meetings are encouraged to do so. Note on the agenda that two opportunities are provided for the public to speak. The first opportunity is for speaking about issues related to a specific agenda item. The second opportunity is for items not on the agenda, but within Board jurisdiction.
